freezing or below freezing for several hours. look at this, yes, indeed, we are at freezing now. 32 in ocala. it is 37 in palm coast. 47 in orlando. 44 at melbourne. you factor in a little bit of the wind that kirsten just mentioned and it feels like the low 40's in orlando. we are likely to drop from here into the next couple of hours. by 8:00 this morning, 44. and then we climb to 55 by noon. only getting up to 59 by 4:00 even though we'll have a lot of sunshine. it will be cold again tonight. when you can expect a warmup. first, let's check on the roads and head over to amy in the napleton traffic center. amy, what is happening? >> when i say construction is no longer a factor, this is what i'm talking about. you can see construction cones set up over by saxson boulevard. because it is no longer active, they are over on the side. no delays getting past. we are doing fine out there.

all the drive times coming back fantastic on the expressway, either direction you have no delays right now. that is your check on traffic. i'll send things back to you. >> we are following breaking news overnight out of brevard county where one person was shot just after 11:00 last night. according to our news partners, that shooting happened near monroe and university boulevard not far from stone middle school in melbourne. one person was shot in the hand. so far no other details have been released. as soon as we learn anything new about the story, we'll let you know right here and online. sglchl turning to the race for the white house, the final numbers are in and there were some surprises among them. democrats. that's where bernie sanders is sprieth a huge win over hillary clinton, picking up 60% of the vote.

donald trump picked up a huge win as well. trump's win was no surprise with big poll numbers showing a big lead in new hampshire. for the rest of the field, it was a shakeup on the republican side. for democrats, it is hillary clinton that now has ground to make up heading into south carolina. >> voters in new hampshire sending a clear message. >> the people want real change. >> after a narrow defeat in iowa, bernie sanders taking 60% of the vote. hillary clinton admitting she needs to make up ground with young voters. >> even if they don't support me, i support them. >> thank you, new hampshire. thank you, new hampshire. we are going now to south carolina. we are going to win in south carolina.

second place finish, john kasich trailing trump, highlighting a contrast between campaigns. >> at a time when clearly change is in the air, maybe just maybe we are turning the page on a dark part of f american politics dark. >> so far there have been no candidates that dropped out after the results of last night's primary. but chris christie said he reevaluating his campaign. as for florida's candidates noticeably absent from the top. i'll talk about rubio disappointing finish coming up at 5:30. >> police asking for help find ago hit and run driver. >> the driver t-boned a mom and her baby before driving off. the hit and run happened monday at 17/92.

fernandez, what can you tell us this morning? >> we know the search continues for that driver but police tell us that they are looking through surveillance videos from stories in the area. they are hoping that video will help them get a better description of the driver and the car that causes chaos. >> i was terrified. to hear her screaming like that, it was literally like the scariest moment of my life. >> she experienced terrifying moments monday night after a driver hit her car and left. williams said everything happened so fast. she is trying to recall what happened. she remembers feeling the bang and moments later her car spun out of control. the impact so hard her baby's car seat was pushed over on its side. >> the pillar pushed over into the car.

on there. >> erica says after the accident she took to social media to help police find the person who fled. >> it is horrible. it is horrible what they did. there is an infant -- even if there wasn't an infant, how can you hit someone, not know if they are ok and take off like that? >> erica says she believes the car that t-boned her car was a maroon nissan. if you have any information about what happened you are urged to contact police. >> in orange county, an eviction notice has been posted on the orlando club where 11 people were shot over the weekend. the notice demands rent be paid at the lounge. two people were killed in the shooting. nine others were hurt.

made any arrests or released any information on possible suspects. matt morgan says he has been hired to see if the club had enough security. he says this is now the third shooting at glitz in the past year. >> this morning, friends and family are mourning this teen who died more than a day after being shot. this is a story we brought you sunday night at 11:00 as that teen was shot while visiting family members. this happened at a home on spots wood drive near semoran boulevard. according to the sheriff's report fisher died last night after an 18-year-old found a gun under a bed and started playing with it. that report mentions the older teen was riding on a hover board when he lost his balance and the gun went off, shooting fisher in the back of the head. woods said he coached young fisher for years and he was a quiet young man who did very well in school. >> he strived to be the best.

he always was -- stay humble, stay hungry, keep your head up and have fun. that was lovato. >> such a tough story. at first people told detectives someone shot fisher and took off running and then they changed their story. the coach said the teammates are planning to honor this 13-year-old. >> a volusia county man is out of jail after police say he went for a jog in nothing but he socks and sneakers. now police are working to find out if there could be more people who saw him. police say a woman spotted 28-year-old brandon smith standing on the bridge and she quickly called for help. >> i was going to see if somebody could patrol around to see because he is completely naked, socks and running shoes. >> police arrested smith for indecent exposure. police say this is the second time smith has been served with a crime. he served in 2014 for exposing

ikea is recalling two different ceiling lamps after reports of 11 injuries, this is pretty serious. the recall include the hyby lamp sold from october 2012 to january 2016 so check those receipts. and the lock ceiling lamp sold from november 2002 through last month. ikea is urging customers to return the lamps for a full refund. >> when it comes to winter sports, central floridians are left out in the cold so to speak. >> a man has a creative way of bringing skiing to life. his slow motion swirl shot, that's awesome. the swiss skier did this with an iphone and tether and lots of practice. he said it is as difficult as it looks and it took him two years to master that cool move. have you ever gone skiing? >> not going to be me. i have tried and i'm not good. >> that's why i came to florida.
